While it was a rumor for a long time that the upcoming iPhone would ship without a headphone port, a few Android phones were actually the first to debut without this feature. The iPhone rumor still persists with rumors that the missing headphone jack will be one of the few changes over the iPhone 6S. For those Android phones as well as the future iPhone, this means that headphones would need to plug in through the charging port, eliminating the ability to listen to music while you charge your phone. Other devices that use that same port, such as a selfie stick or speakers, will need to be changed. It will cause you to have to buy all new devices. On the plus side it can lead to advantages for a smartphone to not need a headphone jack. It can be slimmer as well as more water-resistant. And you can get Bluetooth headphones to still listen to music while you charge your phone. What do you think of this change? Would you miss having a headphone port? Do you welcome this change because of the other advantages? Or does it not affect you one way or the other?
