AllTray is a small application that can dock any application that does not have the minimize-to-tray capability to the system tray. It works well with applications such as Firefox, Evolution, Thunderbird, Terminal, and even Transmission. You can install Alltray from the Software Center, or in your terminal: sudo apt-get install alltray Once installed, go to Applications -> Accessories -> AllTray Your mouse cursor will immediately change to a crosshair cursor. Right click on any open application that you want to dock.
