If you’re not sure that what you’re putting together is something that’s going to be edible, then it’s time to install a recipe app on your Android device. There are quite a few to choose from – that’s why I’ll share the ones where you can store, share, and send your favorite recipes.

1. Cookpad

With Cookpad you’ll be able to do all sorts of things such as tap a single button and get all kinds of suggestion for great breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert recipes. You can also create and save your own creations and even chat with other users that are also passionate about cooking.

Follow other users so you’ll never miss out on their creations and easily bookmark their recipes for later. Create group chats to talk about anything that will help you improve your recipes and invite up to twelve users to participate. You’ll also never miss out on what recipes are trending and the best recipes in your local area.

2. Recipe Book

Recipe Book is another great option for cooking fans. In the side menu you have access to options such as a shopping list, offline Categories, Favorites, and a Meal Planner. When you first launch the app you gain access to the most popular types of recipes and videos for all kinds of occasions.

You can choose between videos to Throw a Party, Learn to Bake, Breakfast Club, Beginners, The American Way, and Kids Special. Unlike the first app, with Recipe Book you can search for your recipes by tapping the mic icon and just saying what kind of recipe you’re looking for. As you scroll down through the app, you’ll see that the recipes are organized into different categories for an easy find.

3. Yummly

Yummly tries to stand out from the competition with its great design and its great content. All of its recipes are organized into different categories such as Video, Popular, Trending Now, Seasonal, Quick and Easy, Kid Friendly, Cuisines, Courses, Diets and Dishes. All of these options are under the Explore tab, but under the Just For You tab, you’ll find the recipes that are currently trending among Yummly users.

Are you missing a tool to help you cook? Go to the Store tab and browse through an organized selection of cooking tools. With Yummly you can also create your own shopping list so you won’t forget anything, and in the side menu you can invite your friends to try out the app as well.

4. All Recipes

If you have a hard time deciding what to make for dinner, then All Recipes is the app for you. Unlike the other apps, it has a feature called Dinner Spinner. This function will randomly choose what you can make for dinner. If you don’t like what the app suggested, you can give the Dinner Spinner another try.

In the side menu you’ll find an option for My Feed, Favorites, Shopping List and the Dinner Spinner option. You can share the recipes by just tapping on the share icon inside every recipe. You can share either through Facebook, Email or SMS.This app doesn’t organize the recipes into different categories for an easy find, and you’ll also need to sign up to save any recipes.

5. My CookBook

My CookBook is different from all the apps mentioned above. First of all, the app itself doesn’t have any recipes installed in it. You’ll need to search the web for the kind of recipe you want to create. Tap on “Add a recipe” from the Internet option and type in the kind of recipe you’re looking for. The app will show you results from all over the Web.

In a way that’s a great feature since you get a lot more options to choose from. The app also offers an option to manually create your own recipe with details such as Pictures, Preparation Time, Cook Time, and more. One function My CookBook has that the other apps don’t is that you can import your digital cookbook.

Conclusion

With these great apps you’ll have no trouble getting organized when it’s time to cook. You’ll also never have to worry about what to make for dinner since you’ll have so many options you won’t know which one to choose. How do you organize yourself when it’s time to cook?
